Coke Studio 14 started with a soulful Tu Jhoom featuring Naseebo Lal and Abida Parveen. While Abida Parveen has been recognized as a Sufi queen, it was great to see singer Naseebo Lal finally getting the recognition her talent deserves.

Not only Pakistan, but India has been swaying to the musical treat as well. Indian Punjabi singer, Daler Mehndi took to Instagram to praise the song and Naseebo Lal’s underrated vocals.

“Today I want to tell you that Naseebo Lal has made a name for herself in India and everywhere in the world where people love music. Her voice is capable of conquering every music lover’s heart,” said the Tunak Tunak singer, adding, “Whoever is watching this, send lots of blessings to Naseebo Lal ji.”

He requested the singer to keep delighting music lovers with her music.

The Groove Mera singer was quick to respond to the love and recognition. “Thank you so much Daler Mehndi paa ji,” she replied sending blessings his way.

Produced/Curated by Season Producer Xulfi and written by Adnan Dhool, Tu Jhoom also taps into the genius of Abdullah Siddiqui who calls it “quintessentially desi but in an updated, almost post-modern way.”
